I was playing as a German sniper in a game yesterday, trying to hunt down a Soviet sniper squad. I shot one of them first, then immediately retreated back out of range to reload.
The soviet sniper, down to 1 man, had presumably right clicked on my sniper and was chasing him (we're both out of range of each other). I stopped and also right clicked on the Soviet sniper.
Then they proceeded to both shoot each other and kill each other simultaneously..`
Lesson learned, snipers shoot each other at the same rate and you need to be in stealth to win the engagement. But if you ask me, this is a little broken. I thought the German sniper is supposed to have a range/speed advantage since he's only 1 man?

He has no range advantage, it only feels like it because the soviets have two men. So if he is down to 1 it makes no diffrence. The speed advantage is that he has less cooldown between his shots, not that he lays down and aims faster.

Put the german sniper in cover and he can re-camo before the soviet sniper can shoot back.
