Looks nice but as most mp survival games, it's kill on sight so it seems
It's not that bad, you can play either on PvP or PvE server, so you have a choice. And i've met some friendly people who actually wont try to kill you, which was fun.

They still have a lot of performance issues to work on. I have a gtx 680 and I run the game smoothly on medium. I think in the next two weeks you should see a lot of improvement in the performance category. They are releasing new content while stream lining performance. I expect some server wipes within the next two weeks so you might not want to waste your time building your Jurassic park, rather learning the ins and outs of the game.

I found this really surprising and interesting. Ark is currently the 4th highest on the steam stats page. The only games with larger in-game populations are Dota, CSGO and TF2. For an alpha-survival game, I find this pretty damn shocking. The game isn't even optimized well and for a week straight, Ark has held down the #4 position with an average of 45k, peak being 64k.
