Hi there. I'm an old-time COH 2 player who hasn't player the game in the past 1-2 years. So I wasn't here for Western Front. Recently picked it up again as Ardennes Assault was on discount.
It seems as though many things have changed since the launch of the original COH 2. I've tried googling for an updated guide or recap on the multiplayer changes but nothing came up. Here are the changes I know so far:
- All bulletins are unlocked
- Rank resets after 100, granting you 1 prestige (does prestige do anything?)
- Custom game lobbies.
Anything else I've missed? What exactly are "rare" and "uncommon" commanders and bulletins? How is rarity determined?

More or less, they used to be linked to achievement and certain Commanders were tried to level.
Now there is WARSPOILS, so everything (Commanders, Bulletins, Skins, Faceplates, Victory Strikes) is a random drop - you are more likely to get a drop for the factions you've playing
So far as we have observed:
COMMON - Never Drop, you start with them
UNCOMMON - Drop
RARE - Les likely to Drop
EPIC - Very unlikely (so far only Victory Strikes)
Then there are some other types that are from events or rewards

theres changelog on official coh2 forum. but they'll be too vast to take in at once.
were you here for big march patch? vet changes (makes more sense, not just more hp and shit)? sov/ost tech cost changes? infantry ai change (sticking to cover)? observer mod? workshop integration? mod support?
and just so much more.
anyway, WFA has been kinda disastrous due to new factions having some design and balance flaws. and the fact that a big balance patch has not been seen since like last half a year? one is coming in march though... pretty sure. if not, imma jump off a bridge somewhere.

True, let me correct slightly:
You start with all COMMON Commanders, and will never drop duplicates
You start with 4 Bulletins for each faction, which is:
Base Infantry
MG
AT-Gun
Base Tank

There are also new bulletins, which you can only get via a drop, such as:
- Pionier (durability)
- Tiger (sight range)
- Soviet Sniper (something new)
- Panzergrens (more armor)
- 251 Halftrack (something new)
etc.
