Imo it's fine at this point in time, and the AI problem with it gets solved by using HE ammo. But I don't usually use it as AT against heavier tanks since the AP penetration is pretty bad (260).

You need to manually switch the ammo type to HE if you want it (and you generally do).

Isu152 still dangerous.
As Ostheer player I'd say
One if the reason that Elefant is back again.

There's also one with the ISU and Shock Troops, which isn't bad either.
In fact, Guards aren't all that good right now.

i really like guards because you can destroy everything up to the (and) pzIV. but they burn ammo

Depends how you play. More static with support weapons and the guards work nice, but more fluid with conscripts and shocks are more useful.
Thing I like the most about ISU is its worth while stopping off at T3 first.

In 2v2 and higher, ISU is amazing but in 1v1 it's very risky since you have to rely on 2-3 AT Guns and AT nades - time to switch rounds is too long to make ISU universal unit.

ISU is good against infantry but surprisingly bad AT versus heavy tanks
