Weird shot block bug?

Hello today i was fighting a king tiger with five t34s. I managed to get a t34 to "hug" the king tiger. SUddenly, i was no longer able to target it anymore because of shot block. There was no smoke or debris blocking my tanks. Has anyone gotten this issue before?
Axis doesn't have the best AT options in the game
