Be on the lookout for the logitech g930, got mine in a cyber monday deal from Newegg and it is the best headset I have ever owned.

i had my eyes on g930 too but a frnd said that it has issues with wifi interference. so i was thinknig g32(the wired one)

I normally recommend people to get the Steelseries Siberia v2 if they want the best of both worlds. I find that the sound quality for music is quite good. Then again, if you listen 80s music then sound quality won't matter too much.
gaming and music while gaming, i like music so i would appreciate good quality while listening to music.
Price is reasonable too.Be warned though, if your sound card is not compatible with 7.1 surround sound then you will need to get the USB soundcard. You could just get something like the Siberia Elite which has a sound card built in already but it's pretty pricy though.
The whole set (Siberia v2) costed me 116 USD (RM400) after negotiating with the seller a bit.

I have never had an issue with interference on my g930s and have found the range to be quite good. Also the sound quality is great. I cannot recommend the headset enough.

I use G930 and everytime battery dies it makes beeping noise on my stream it's annoying. Also every time my girlfriend uses the microwave it has bad interference. But yes it's a great headset if you keep it charged and microwave is turn off
