So, something i noticed with the new patch:
Riflemen defensive stance no longer requires you to be out of combat to activate it.
Is this an intended change?
If i use it , is it considered abuse? The fact that this is such a powerful ability and it got this major buff last patch and nobody has complained about it makes me think this change is intended.

I found it to be not really usefull since patch tbh. Cant dodge volknades and gren rifle nades are deadly as pudding in defensive stance. I also found that you almost always drop de m1919 when the model gets killed in defensive stance.

Its quite userful on maps with long range engagements like Crossing in the woods. Really good.

^ Tue Tue, but they can get wiped out by vet 2 Lmg42Grens. Unless they are upgraded with 2x BARs. Which means you fvcked up somewhere and let him have too much Muni.

Is defensive stance the old hit the dirt? I've also noticed that it can be used in combat too. I don't remember reading any kind of change in the log, so it's either a bug or ninja. It's way more useful now though. If you have enough health you can survive grenades.

It's most likely a bug with the "in combat" algorithm. Because I am sure that on occasion it happened since the latest patch I could not toggle the ability off.
