Snow color = too realistic

Seriously I feel like I need to be wearing ski goggles when I play on most winter maps because it is painful to look at. Even with brightness turned down a fair bit to compensate my eyes are still watery and bloodshot after 20-30min. No other video game I play (even in a dark room) causes that much eye strain so quickly. We need an option to give the snow a more cartoon'ish blue tint, as an alternative to the default flashbang mode.

Have you tried adjusting your monitor's color settings? I use f.lux which removes a lot of the blue color when I'm using my computer at night, but there's no reason you can't tell it to run whenever you like.

The backlight, panel type, and screen coating all make a big difference as well. I remember when LCD screens were just going mainstream I could hardly look at them, but these days there are good ones around if you choose carefully.
