Exactly, the damaging smoke effects in WFA do serious damage but don't kill models. You need some kind of follow up for that (the WP shell itself can be a source though). It's kind of annoying how WP can block off LoS for the follow up though. Unsure it it shares the vehicle weapon disable with the off map WP barrage though.
Heat rounds have a 70% chance to pen against KTs (100% chance against normal ones!).
