The original contract was just for the code and I could keep my site. But they decided to spend a lot more for the actual ownership and taking down of the site. I am already aware that several individuals had been doing some work on something similar so I took the opportunity. I know the community will probably end up getting something even better. Trust me if you would get enough cash to pay one year of med school you would take it too.

I love Company of Heroes, but its things like this that make the game less accessible to new players. There is simply no excuse for Relic not having unit stats directly on their website, updated with each patch. Instead they force the community to figure this shit out on its own, which is just lazy.

One has to wonder why Relic does not post this information themselves. Its one of the many things that makes them look 2nd tier compared to developers like Blizzard.

if there is some demand for it, i can put this "test" version online. it has about a million bugs though and only grabs stuff that i deemed valuable (still more than was on coh2stats). and i'd actually have to test it with the current version (just tested whether it worked right after release, haven't really done any work on it since then).
