i was wondering if there was something i need to do for coh2 to work properly in windows 8.1 update 1
when i start the game, during the loading of the match. the game minimizes to the desktop. i can maximize the game and it works perfectly. i just want to stop the game from minimizing.
i have no idea what is causing this, being there is no error.
it does not do this every time, which makes it even harder to troubleshoot.

I have no problems on Win8.1 Update 1 (64bit), so maybe it's not the OS that is causing the problem.

I have the same problem but I don't think it comes from the windows update.
I still did not figure out the exact program but it is either:
antivirus, antimalware, update program from asus,...
Wheneve I manually close these and turn of all autoupdates I don't get this game minimizing problem.

Go on Steam, right click on company of heroes 2 in your library and go to Properties. Click on Set Launch Options and put this in
-nomovies -window -fullwindow -forceactive -lockMouse
-nomovies -window -fullwindow -forceactive -lockMouse
