Dug in around a series of frozen villages. The 210th Infantrie Division fortified the area for the last few months. But as the Soviet war machine unleashed hell the first few villages quickly fell, shattered by artillery and tanks. At the Main defensive point the 210th gathered everything it could to stop the Soviet army.

Hauptmann Dietrich checked his orders again to make sure. To seize a small village ahead of the Grossdeutschlands assault. It had to be done in the morning and support would be light.
Failure could doom the main assault.

Recce had picked up on Jerry movement in the area. Corps HQ suspected preperation for an assault and so sent in the 11th Armoured to flush them out and deal with them.

For days the Germans had been trying to dislodge a soviet Rifle Battalion dug in at a town. Fed up with the lack of progress better troops and Panzers were called up in the hopes that it would do the trick.
But by then the soviets were bringing up their own equipment

Pushed to the extreme. the 212th Infantrie Division was barely holding on, the russians had been bombarding it for days, launched infiltration attacks and head on assaults.
But reinforcements were finally on the way. With this they could surely push back the soviets !

Threatening the flank of the 2nd SS Panzer Korps the 3rd Armoured Division had managed to secure a vital crossroads.
In response the Kampfgruppe Meyer was assembled using elements of several Panzer Divisions and a Fallschirmjaeger division and ordered to counter-attack.

With a roar the truck next to him blew up, sending Fritz flying into the nearest thicket.
Stumbling out he could see men running hither and dither as his Sergeant ran up to him, grabbed him and sent Fritz off as well.
"Ivan is attacking. Hold the line until reinforcements arrive !"

Thinking a video looking back at things a bit . Beyond that. Not so much really.

The 7th Panzer Division had been fighting for days. Solving problems along the entire front. It's resources were about to run out. And the Soviets just kept pushing. The 22nd Tank Corps had managed to breach the lines, sending the 85th Infanterie Division scattering.
The 7th Panzer Division had to plug that hole as well until reinforcements could be mustered.

They'd been pursuing the fascists for the last 100 kilometers. Crossed bridges, cleared minefields. There was nothing to stop them from gaining their vengeance.
Well perhaps the casualties that were slowly mounting. But they were closing in on the 5th SS Panzer Division. And they would crush them.

Smoldering tanks littered the road as the Infantry ran back towards their own lines. Leutnant Heinz was quite pleased with the job. But he had little time to bask in self-satisfaction as he could already hear a second wave of Americans coming in.

Half his platoon was gone in the blink of an eye. Lieutenant Stanton cursed as he ordered the rest of the platoon to fall before the rest were annihilated.
The men of the 21st Panzer Division were more prepared than he and the rest of the company had been told. And where was the damn armour support ?
At least he got ahold of the artillery and managed to call it in.

The Defense of the village was vital. Right behind it ran one of the main supply roads. Numerous divisions were dependent on it. Yet the british were now close to severing it.
And only the might of the Panzer Lehr was up to defending it. Though Hungarian Infantry had been dispatched to assist.

Sergeant Neumann stared across the frozen lake. On the other side the russians were going to be coming any moment now. The Pioneers were still busy preparing the defences and the Panzers were stuck in the snow or their engines too frozen to be started up immediately.
So it fell to him and his men to buy time.
