If you search any mode (2v2, 3v4, 4v4) with one mate, the stats go to your "Arranged Team of Two." It's a bit ridiculous. Basically you can have 8 people in one game that will get recorded on like 4 different ladders. 
We complained, ofc, but that's how it is.
We want a pure 2v2 AT ladder that doesn't include these games where people add in a couple randoms to their team and play 3v3 or 4v4.
