So, is anyone playing on them? Ive tried for a while to automatch to no avail. Every time I automatch I am 100% of the search. Relic wants to iron out the bugs and glitches, right? Well it's gonna take more than me searching automatch.

can you easily switch from battle servers to normal games one u test the battle servers ?

No you cannot. You have to redownload about 1.5 GB to get the original coh2 to work again. However I strongly suggest people to help Relic test the servers. This is by far the most significant update to coh2 ever !

Maybe Relic should stream on Twitch. They could explain what they are trying to do and why it is VERY IMPORTANT for players to help test the servers. There was a blog update on the official coh site yesterday, I don't think that's enough. The lack of communication from Relic is disturbing. If this is such a HUGE STEP for COH2 one would think they would promote it much harder!!!

Relic needs to set this alpha up as a separate application in Steam and add some incentives for people to try it: a free faceplate or skin should do.

unless you have a bandwidth limit, it's not that painful to switch back, just takes a little time.

Relic should give free skin or commander for playing on alpha battle server and viola, traffic greater then on current live.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

I strongly urge anyone reading this to try the alpha servers. The only issue I've experienced so far is the lack of players, leading to long search times and sometimes not quite balanced matchups.

Obviously, the more people join, the less of a problem that is.

P.S. Pretty much no lag. For real.

Played two 2on2 games and one 3on3. No lag, no major issues whatsoever except one bug spotted, which I reported here

Few players were luckily online at the same time, so it didn't actually take too long to find a match.

only thing is the matches don't register on ladder :(

I know we need to test it but just saying, I like playing for ladders :D

did 2 games, did seem smoother.

While this is great . There really isn't much incentive to play on the server. When they want to stress test it, they should demo a new commander or something to bring in a crowd.

this does not fix the input delay, noticeably or marginally. don't bother with this download to fix the input delay. learn to play with it, because i don't think it's ever going to go away.

I agree that there needs to be mor incentive to participate in alpha. A demo of a new (or actually any commander like during free weekend) a. Free skin, faceplate or whatever would improve player incentive to get in. Might give it a go during the weekend myself.
