2 KV-1s or a IS-2?

A simple question. Would you save the resources for 2 call-in KV-1s in succession or just get 1 IS-2 as your first tank?

Kv1 and is2 are not in the same commander. Also kv1 is 7cp and is2 is 9. However kv8 and is2 are in the same commander. As for kv8, would rather get 1 is2 than 2 kv8. If the choice has to be between choosing commander at9 cps and then choosing that way between kv1 and is2 I think I depends more on what the opposition brings. Against t3 I think the kv1 is quite good. But against t4 not as much. I think in most cases for me it would be an is2.

It's risky waiting for an IS-2 as your first tank especially If you have to counter an early ostwind or brummbar, getting a single SU85 then saving up for the IS2 might be a safer option.

KV-1s are good tanks but you need a lot of them to take on a tiger/tiger-ace.

Imo. Kv-1 worst tank in the game.

it can be funny. Better in team game. And become really efficient when you got two not at the same location covering each over

I use 2 x KV-1s with 2 x Zis + conscript in the rear. The KV-1 is basically a AI meat shield to me. It's more mobile than the IS-2, and with two of them can take more damage. When combined with the Zis, it can do well but if the Zis are lost, it needs to retreat if it is fighting heavies.

With the IS-2,it's a 240 fuel wait w/o any t3 or t4 buildings at the earliest. Molotov/nades cost 50 fuel.

In the best of worlds this is how the kv-1 could be good but if the the zis goes down to mortar/howi/arty its probably GG.
