Winter sales are giving 50% off CoH 2 Commanders (Steam's list here.

If you could only have one premium (one you must pay for, including the Collector's Edition or Pre-Purchase commanders) which would you buy for each faction, & why?

Soviet Commander: Mechanized Support Tactics

Backed by AT-Gucs with Mark Vechicle & Anti-Tank Gun Ambush Tactics, the ISU-152 Heavy Assault Gun can unload on targets while having a close & safe fallback point. This allows me to slowly push with a heavy defensive wall.

German Commander: Joint Operations Doctrine

Well placed Pak 43 Emplacements can decimate armor while Reconnaissance Overflight reveals the fog of war for a leFH 18 Artillery to rain shells on known enemy locations.

All that & well, playing with arties is just fun.

I dunno, but if I could trade old commanders in for that discount or a refund, I'd be way more compelled to ever shell out any more money.

IF you play 1 vs 1, then both of these doctrines are pointless. Those doctrines are meant for team games.
