Hello, I'm Falknargiados and need help to creat a map. I have looked at the Tutorials and am enthusiastic about the Tutorials of OnkelSam. I only don't manage to erect good (realistic) floors. As in the Map Crossing in The Woods of uncle Sam. Can anybody give me tips or make a Tutorial to this?

Using multiple tile layers, can achieve a very nice look for terrain. Be aware that, the base layer will affect how others look, as they fade out. I would use a dirt base, and cover it with grass for example. The edges of the grass would have dirt underneath, giving a somewhat realistic look. Obviously, the textures begin to tile, and look repetitive, so selecting a couple of grass textures, and mixing them, helps break things up. Then texture splines, and splats is where the polish really comes into play. You can search for COH1 World Builder tutorials, dealing with all three, as the system is basically the same. The main differences being the location, and the exact textures...ect.

When reading CoH1 tutorials, be aware that in CoH2 the look of ground textures is created a bit differently. In CoH1 it was almost exclusively by splats and splines, if you did it right. In CoH2 you can use up to 8 tiles on top of each other, which gives you a lot more flexibility. also make sure to use them with the correct scaling and also play with the rotation with resepct to the light source (doubleclick the tile preview)

I didn't know this one can use more tiles now. I didn't know what before either one can do everything apart from streets with the Splines make. : )
