German doctrines are less than spectacular?

Got dominated early on for most of the game, pushed his SU-85s and Shocks off at the end with an Ostwind and a shrecked Pgren. The main point of the replay was, I couldn't at any point find any use for any of the doctrines even up to the very end. Any advice as to how to incorporate German commanders better?

good question, often find myself sitting there with 5 command points not knowing what doctrine to choose. soviets seem to be much more doctrine dependant.

If none of them are helping you I would just pick one with off-map artillery for the kabooms.

I couldn't even pick that one- was starving for munitions almost the entire game to get panzershrecks.
