Yes this is a very good example on how to deal with the m3 spam. Going to the center of the map was a good idea. He on the other hand never sent a unit to harass your engineer squad which would have reduced your resources income.
This deserves a honor instead of the many lousy top player replys that get over exposure for name recognition only.
