The German industry was suffering from the bombing raids and the supplies were attacked constantly by the RAF and the American Air Force because the had the air superiority! Panzerdivisions could not operate because of the Bombers. Same on the eastern front were the russians outnumbered the germans and used their tacrics against them! Well, but the total collapse of the eastern front Summer 1944 was bec of Hitler was more feared of the invasion than of the rushing Red Army. At Normandy the German Army (strong potential) was bleeding out slowly due to constant Air attacks and extreme Artillery fire (the so called "doctrines" of the US-Army of fire superiority, they didn't focus much on infantry, tanks). But still held the front 2 months. Now think about these forces on the eastern front at "Bagration"....... instead an infantry division had to cover a huge frontline In a Russian-German only war no side would be able to make a major breaktrough the next years. A layman like me can't help but look at the map of Jan 1944/Jan 1945 and think 1944 was the year Red Army recovered all the conquered territories and made inroads to Central Europe. Srry, bro I mean on a Russian-German only War ..... 1944 would've been a year on the eastern front like 1915/1916 at the western front most probalbly. Two strong armys without a major advantage, I mean the western allies get underrated in their performance. They had an absolute huge impact on the eastern front, with lend-lease and constant bombing of the german industry ...... I remember a high Soviet Officer laughing about the slow british advance through france. The british faced the biggest concentration of 8,8mm Guns in History while the soviets mainly had to fight against decimated Infantry Divisions 1944. Simply the last well equiped and trained forces of german were situated at the Normandy. it could have been an endless trench warfare on the estern front 1944 with an unclear year 1945, without western help. Year by year the soviets would become stronger due to higher birth rate, and bigger resources .... Btw: Everybody says the allies had an easy ride through France and Germany while the glory Red Army crushed one Panzerdivision each day to arrive in Berlin... You know that the US/British Forces in Normandy forced the biggest "blob" of Elite-Panzerdivisions, "Flak-Feldverbänden (8,8s)" and mechanized Division the Reich could mobilise. While on the eastern Front mainly Infantry-Divisions with a pair of PaK's .... Many historicans have the opinion that the eastern front 1944 was "balanced", Wehrmacht had better equipment/tactics while the Red Army meanwhile got great Generals too, better industry and fought on their own ground. Of course through Partisan Attacks throughout europe, constant bombing of the german industry so so on the tide turned ... In: The Library

Thread: Ostheer vs the USF28 Jun 2014, 18:35 PM Best way to fight the US-Forces? Definetly good Mg 42 micro. The Riflman dont have grenades in the early or can flank you like cons can. They dont have an early mortar too, no M3 spam or Snipers ).Just like in the older CoHs MG 42s rules! Try to safly vet up your grens and give out SOME Mg42s if possible ..... Grens aren't elite like on the eastern front now ... just normal infantry. Pak 40's are so much better than the Püppchen, it vets extremly fast and has a great range (important against AA-Halftruck, M36 and almost every vehicle). Call in some Opels so you can go to T3 if possible, or just wait for Tigers ....... and pretty much gg .. The Ostheer dont have such huge issues like the OKW, so if you want to play a solid Wehrmacht, go for the good old Ostheer ^^ In: Ostheer Strategies
Thread: tips for improving as germans16 Jun 2014, 12:11 PM Same with me, I'm so bad with germans. It's not even funny ..... But with Sovs you can dominate your opponent early on with cons. And hold the won ground with strong combined arms in mid or lategame ...... Playing the Germans you need to be carefull with your units cause they get wiped easier. Good micro is crucial to hold the most important points till you can roll out with superior tanks .... All in all playin soviets atm is much more easier and you'll start understanding the game ... That s why he called in t34/85s. And u would see that u have not any mid game antitank capability(teller,pak) until t34s arrived, so he went directly into ur base. And u would see that u r losing a fight because u dont predict and prepare against any mechanized assault due to giving fuels. And finally u would see that while losing, u won by one click button thanks to "pay to win" commander altough u have big strategic mistake which is Sorry bro u r totaly wrong. But u r right in one thing which is "balance uhm..." Ye, i think Elite Troops is far too strong. I usually don't chose this doctrine, but it was my last chance to win .... If I really wanted to win this game without an Ace I simply could have waited for a regular Tiger so i didnt have to tech up (which is far to expensive in my Opinion)and his T34 wouldn't stand a chance aswell .......
