Thread: Ostheer (Wehrmacht) Grenadiers 13 Nov 2015, 10:15 AM I'd prefer a 5 model upgrade for both, since it's way too easy to lose those squads to a single indirect fire. Where as the other counter pars got a more easy way to dodge it. In some sort of way they're always clustering which the others mostly of the time don't. In: COH2 Balance

Wehr panther vs Comet is balanced because the Comet is a more expensive tank which had to sacrifice anti-tank power for anti-infantry power. A wehr panther will beat Comet most of the time, and that's okay since panther is an anti-tank specialist versus the generalist comet. What to do with the OKW panther then? Taking the income penalty into account, the okw panther cost 50% more than the wehr panther. Does the OKW panther need to be 50% more powerful than the wehr panther? The OKW panther preforms better than the Ostheer panther first of all because of the fact that the AI capability is way better, second fact is the 5 vet levels you can obtain. Yes it's hard to get, but lately with Brits I find it way easier to get my Panther to vet 3-5 which it completely obliterate any tank/infantry and with a JPz4 in the back it's GG mostly of the time. Thread: OKW Panther vs UKF Comet13 Nov 2015, 10:10 AM Pz4 --> JPz4 or JPz4 --> Pz4 is for OKW a way better thing to go than going for a panther. (I use 3x +5% armor bullitin for Pz4 and it got insane AI + insane front armour) JPz4 just rips everything apart when going above vet 2. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Heavy tank rear armor13 Nov 2015, 09:31 AM Mediums indeed should penetrate the rear armor of most tanks, but the OP story is just unbelievable, since a 2x T34/85 should kill a KT with ease when firing on the rear armour. Else he has some extremely bad RNG. In: COH2 Balance

Admiral Ya but only the vickers is the only one of those which do not require a decision to get since its available at t-0. At least with the maxim or .50 cal the USSR and USF player has to weigh the pros & cons of going for those specific tech trees. Same goes for OKW, the player has to make a critical decision to go for the mg34 when its locked behind a commander. Making it a t-0 would remove a lot of the thought process behind getting the mg34, and not add diversity since nearly every "optimal" OKW player will build them since their only cost would be mp and OKW already floats mp. Putting it behind t1/t2 would be okay, t2 preferably since most people just rush t1 into t3 and ignore mech hq altogether, that way there is at least some thought process going into getting an mg. Point is that it doesn't add to diversity if every OKW player will build it, with no consequence. This game has always been dominated by optimal build paths, either a unit is efficient and will be built or inefficient and only built for specific counters. Although I understand what you mean with the T2 I wouldn't put it there. I would say put it in t0 BUT it requires to have atleast 1 hq building. This also should be the same for the rest of the factions In: COH2 Balance
