The sea bottom off the picture frame, the casemates under construction for four Russian guns of 122 mm K390 1 / r, only one was completed on 6 June 1944, leading to an anti tank ditch. The battery suffered an aerial bombardment of June 6, 1944 4:29 to 4:49, 113 bombers unleash 542 tons of bombs as part of Operation Flashlamp and a naval bombardment by HMS Belfast and is removed on June 6 by the 6th Bn Green Howards the 50th (Northumbrian) Infantry Division. ![]() Aerial Bombing of the station Cérences, the bridge over the Siena and the D13, the bomb craters are numerous. The convoy of GMC trucks with trailers are of Coutances, the station is on the left, the city of Cérences senior executive at the top. By zooming in you will notice some of the tarps GMC dark spots, it's camouflage nets. Cérences is released as part of fighting so-called "pocket Roncey". The CWB's Brig Gen E. Holmes Dager of the 4th US Cérences AD reached July 29, 1944 in the late afternoon from Coutances. All bridges on the Siena were destroyed, U.S. tanks have to stop and not enter until the next day in the city, after the bridges "provisional" to be built by the engineers. In: The Library |
