If it's wiping your squads then you're presenting it infantry to shoot--and thus, you're doing it wrong. I wouldn't say that since infantry are often used to scout ahead of danger/ATGs/SU-85s before you decide to roll the tanks in which puts them at risk unless you got a Vet 2 Scout Car laying around. Add spotting scopes for risk of being called out for map hacks. I really don't have a problem with the IS-2 one shotting since Ostheer has the tools in nearly all Tiers can pose a major threat to them, but it is annoying as it allows Soviets to have more control over portions of the map/VPs until you can make an effective push as you're at that point in the game where you don't want to risk your vetted infantry on capturing points. Also Relic needs to hurry up and fix the Pak's Target Weakpoint. I could easily stun and finish off the IS-2 if they'd decide to fire the HEAT at the tank and not at the ground. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: German S mine is definitely a joke21 Feb 2014, 17:38 PM I'm glad Soviets now have to worry about mines more. Helps make the Conscript spam a little more bearable when used right. It's incredibly easy to clear the German mine field once you spot it due to the big warning signs. When you see it you can hit it with indirect-fire/explosives and clear it, with Germans you need to spot the engineers planting or get lucky with indirect-fire. They are powerful. S-mines mainly punish people who like to send units out to cap and are then forgotten about until they get shot at and they do it surprisingly well. A single cluster can usually squad wipe unless told to stop when they hit the first set. In: Lobby

Because you totally lost me there as well. I think pqumieh means using an upgunned scout car to keep the T-70 from flanking the Pak/chip away at its HP if it comes too close. It doesn't do much to the front, but it does decent if it can get the rear. Still doesn't mean the 222 doesn't need help. Thread: SNF / Halftrack1 Feb 2014, 08:52 AM Be nice if half-tracks had a decent chance at getting to Vet 2 without requiring an upgrade to their armament, either done via reinforcing or maybe getting XP for being near the combat sort of like the PE system, but only for the unupgraded half-tracks. Trying to get a stock 251 to Vet 1 takes ages let alone vet 2 because of its peashooters. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Sniper Balance31 Jan 2014, 18:16 PM Well, countering with the German sniper requires vet 1 which will mean he will need to be on the field longer to gain this vet and require the expensive investment of the med bunker to keep health. His pathetic HP pool doesn't help when lucky shots at max range can take out 1/3rd of his life making it more difficult to keep him on the field in fear RNG will get him killed. From T1, yeah, only a lucky mortar may get him unless you happen to have a shot/LOS blocker, LOS on the sniper, a grenadier squad and T2 for rifle grenades and that's if they don't move their sniper after every shot which a good player tends to do.
