Thread: Autohotkey problem30 Jun 2014, 18:32 PM Hey guys, I've been using the autohotkey for quite a while now but I'm encountering a weird problem with it. Every once in a while it just stops working randomly and I need to reload the script which is very annoying if it happens during an intense game. I feel like I'm playing with my hands tied if it stops working since I have the tac map and reverse hotkeys mapped to my mouse. I've lost countless vehicles because suddenly the reverse key doesn't work Any tips? Thanks! In: Lobby
Thread: Any good OKW strategy?30 Jun 2014, 18:26 PM Jump back to quoted post29 Jun 2014, 13:19 PMItalianPudding I am not new to CoH mechanics and I think to be a decent player (I used to have a nice W/D rate some time ago) but I am facing very big issues using OKW. Especially in 1V1, I find really hard to hold the all the key sectors on the map. So, anyone has a good start strategy to spread with the community? I thought 3 squads of Sturmpioneers, combined with a Kubel, could give to the german player an excellent advantage, but I also heared that a volks spam could be difficult to counter. Any idea? I don't have any spesific tips since I have very limited experience with the OKW, but I can try to give some general tips. I think you kind of have to play like you'd play with the Wehr in the early game - focus on one key area, hold that and build your forces from there. Againt the USF I think too many volks don't really work that well, you need to use kubels to suppress and close in with sturmpios while doing long range damage with volks at the same time. However against the soviets you might have some success with a volks-based army but I wouldn't spam them. Against soviets I wouldn't go for a kubelwagen either because both T1 and T2 counter it so perfectly since it's so weak. When preparing for tanks you might want to have 1-2 volks with schrecks and 1-2 raketenwerfers. One infantry support gun also helps a lot. Puma is very good in combination with raketenwerfers because of it's range and it can compete with a T-34 pretty well, with shermans too with the support of the raketenwerfers. Hope it helps! Thread: OKW VS Red Army?30 Jun 2014, 17:57 PM Raketenwerfer wall + Pumas is a good and probably the only way to survive against T-34s. Halftrack micro is hard because of the setup time, make one mistake and it gets buttoned and killed by AT guns etc or even just guards + at nades. Also if you lose the halftrack early it's pretty much gg. A stuka zu fuss is really nice against anything if you just can afford it. Oberkommando is really hard to play imo, even though the units are seemingly strong - I've never had a negative winrate before but now I do In: OKW Strategies

Thread: Ostheer vs USF28 Jun 2014, 09:10 AM Trying to find ways to compete as Ostheer vs the USF. I think PGrens are decent now since they got 15 decrease in received accuracy but also an ostwind can work pretty good. I think (hope) an ostwind takes down a stuart pretty quickly but I didn't have the chance to try it out since I managed to steal the stuart He probably misclicked his guys to disembark the vehicle, lol. Just one game before this I lost to this same guy on Kharkov north so Ostheer's chances vs the USF are really map dependant. If you see he is using his ambulance as a forward healing unit taking it down hurts the US player very bad. In: Replays
Thread: Ostheer vs the USF27 Jun 2014, 18:09 PM What can you do to ~~win~~ have a chance in this match-up? The US infantry outdamages your grens at all ranges in equal cover. One rifle squad can take on 2 grens on it's own if grens are in yellow and the rifle squad is in green cover. When you get T2 up you start to kind of get back into the game but the US' instasuppress-instakill-everything halftrack comes out so quick it nullifies any chances you might have had and the game is a real uphill manpower and munitions struggle.
