Thread: New upkeep system, thank you!12 Jun 2013, 07:49 AM The new upkeep system is breaking balance. Now it is so easy to replace lost conscripts. While the upkeep system change is a step in the right direction you must change more than that to start making things better. Imo they should make it like coh1 riflemen, conscripts cost alot of upkeep, make supply yard upgrades reduce that upkeep and make vet slightly harder to obtain though easier to obtain with supply yard upgrades. Right now it is so easy even without the entire map to have a huge army of conscripts and just replace any of your losses whenever they occur by rebuilding them. And they're so cost effective too with hit the dirt and ppshs they can 1v1 panzer grens... In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: T-34 Spam vs S73v011 Jun 2013, 20:35 PM Panthers do not work, by the time I have a panther the soviets should have 3+ T34s, 1 can ram and the rest shoot while the infantry just swarm the panther. Imo they should just have followed the US teching path for soviets. Make the T34 equivilent to the sherman by putting it in T4 and making it cost alot of manpower and requiring a supply yard. It's way too effective against infantry at the moment and too easily spammed. Also hit the dirt needs to be nerfed as well, so hard for ostheer to make comebacks because a few god mode conscripts decided to lie on the floor. Axis mines need to be changed, tellers do crap damage and not worth the hefty muni price. Just give ostheer some normal vcoh mines and change the tellers and S-mines to a doctrinal ability. And give Ostheer some better doctrines and elite infantry, they're doctrines are so quite worthless atm. In: Replays

Thread: T-34 Spam vs S73v011 Jun 2013, 07:45 AM Lol game, this replay is a good example of where balance stands right now. Almost complete domination of the map by ostheer but then the first T34 comes out, and then 4 more... Button, ram, AT nades counters all axis armour and the T34s crush all the infantry. Imo the changes in upkeep has shifted things into soviet favor more. They need to increase the upkeep of conscripts, they're dirt cheap to rebuild and easy to call in guards. I killed so many troops but it doesn't make a dent in soviet manpower reserves. Also wtf is with units randomly shooting killing my own mines? This rarely happens in coh1 but happens almost all the time in coh2. In: Replays

I don't want anybody to be bored out of their mind seeing the same map over and over again. Also in buildings it's basically unflankable unless you have flamers or a flamer halftrack since grenades or small arms fire can't kill it. Imo it should have less range than mg42 and also building cover needs to be reworked so that squads in buildings cannot survive 10 mins of continous small arms fire from outside the building. Thread: Map Review #1 - Pripyat10 Jun 2013, 06:38 AM This map actually isn't that bad for 1v1 when played properly. Sure you can camp it up but since the map is so big it allows for alot of harassment on the wings. There can be some improvements made sure (I don't think you should be allowed to demo the bridge in the middle, or make demos cost fuel to research) but still I've had better game on this map than kholodny. Thread: Panther spammer8 Jun 2013, 19:34 PM Jump back to quoted post8 Jun 2013, 18:42 PMTwister 2 SU-85s shooting at a completely unsupported panther buttoned on a bridge by guards, one from the front at point blank range and from the side. The panther still retreats away when the button finishes and almost kills one of the SUs. This shouldn't happen, however you put it. I've had different experiences, 2 SU-85s at range can do tonnes of damage to a buttoned panther, panther dies and SU-85s take no damage since if the panther is buttoned it can't shoot back. Maybe you just went too close to the panther with the SU-85? Also it is expensive to tech up to panther while producing units to hold the map in 1v1. Panther should be good at what it does. Button, ram, AT nades, IS-2s, AT guns and SU-85s, there are plenty of soviet combined arms usage that can take out panthers. In: COH2 Balance
