I really, really like the patch. As others have stated, my losses this patch feel like more of a result of being outplayed rather than being cheated. The balance is the best it has been in a while, and overall the game is much, much more tactical and enjoyable to play. Serious props to relic on this one.
That being said I still have some major issues with some of the core mechanics of the game, namely one shot squad wipes.(152 is the biggest offender, but I have had a tiger wipe a 6 man conscript squad multiple times this patch) Soviet mines are also wiping squads more than before, which I find endlessly frustrating. I would much prefer the vcoh mine system of decent damage and an insta pin. This way they would still be an effective use of munitions without being completely counter intuitive to the whole squad preservation system. Its just too effective to be able to throw down a 30 munition mine and get a random squad wipe off of it. Aside from that, the list of issues with the game has been whittled down to a very short one, and its a good thing too, because with two whole new factions, we're bound to have some more hiccups. Relics has done a decent job to this point of getting balance in line though, so I have hope that everything goes smoothly with the release of the Americans and the OKW. |

I posted a replay of 3 ISUs vs two Elefants. Lost one ISU. So much infantry death now, I really dislike the AI of tanks this patch. The ISU is bad, but actually everything wrecks infantry late...Why bother with a vetting system for infantry now, seriously...
I actually like that tanks are more lethal now, I would just prefer that tigers and is2s and 152s and even T34s didn't wipe squads in 1-2 shots. At the moment they seem just a tad bit too lethal. I think somewhere between this patch and the march 25th update would be my sweet spot for tank lethality v infantry. |
I'm not really understanding what your issue is. Could you be a little more clear as to what specifically your having trouble with? |
Reinforcing cost is fine. Make sure you don't have two units selected at once, or the UI will combine the reinforcement cost of both units.

@ Puppetmaster, yes actually, blitz feels pretty weak atm and capping with tanks is actually useful in late game vp grinds. |
Yeah its super frustrating...The last game I played I lost a 4 man gren squad to a mine, and a 3 man, double vet gren squad INSTANTLY died to a molotov. All three of them burst into flames the second the grenade hit...I don't know how common that is, but I was micro'ing elsewhere and clicked to them just in time to see all three of them die simultaneously. Too many random opportunities for the germans to lose squads. |

Isu 152 should have a switch between HE rounds and High penetration rounds. And a timer for changing it.
It can't be an ANTI ALL unit.
I like this idea, at the moment the ISU seems a little bit too beastly at everything it does atm. |
Just tried playing this patch as I haven't played since Tiger Ace was released.
Still -
a. Mortars and MG's don't pack up correctly and just burn to the ground if molotov thrown on them
b. Cons with PPSH easily beat PGrens unupgraded, this doesn't make sense due to the cost disparity
c. SU85 still reverses faster then any German tank can go forward, lol
d. Heroic bullshit fausts and AT nades
e. Soviet strafe that wipes all your infantry
f. StuG is still worthless peace of shit and is two shot by SU85
Basically I can't see anywhere where Germans have an advantage?

d-Essential tool for slowing down armor and keeping them from roaming wherever they please and killing at will
e-Soviet strafe hardly wipes squads anymore, is doctrine specific, and costs a ton of munis
