I think the unit to add to a new USF commander to fullfill their late-game anti tank needs is the M18 Hellcat.



Torsion Bar Suspension and 76mm gun the same as Sherman Easy 8 gives good accuracy on the move and the same weapon as Easy 8 and T34/85.

A whopping 92km/h top-speed compared to 46 km/h of late war Panthers, 48 km/h of M36 Jackson and 51 km/h of M10 Wolverines means this unit could traverse 3v3 and 4v4 battlefields to deal with specific threats.

The M18's Wright R-975 engine is mounted on steel rollers that allow maintenance crews to disconnect it easily from the transmission. This Td is well known for its ease of maintenance. Maybe it can repair faster or is less prone to engine criticals.

Cloaking was on the M18 in vCOH and it could easily be added here.

The M18 also had an M2 Browning .30 cal machine gun which could be upgraded and have some Anti-Infantry capabilities.

Maybe balance this units great strengths by making the crew vulnerable to freezing during blizzards as they were prone to be due to the open-topped nature of their vehicle.

TLDR:: Bring back the M18 Hellcat in a commander that is specifically suited to team games and anti armor (U.S. repair stations please!) It would fit nicely as the U.S. analogue/counter to the Axis Panther and is beloved my many. Me at least.

I find capslock to be the ideal tacmap re-bind. ` also works nicely. This way you can actually type in the game chat.

Sure are in theory. But never spotted (except b4) in actual gameplay.
As ost its hard to get a howi and being able to go T4 if the enemy goes medium call ins. The mpcost is just to high.

I have been using Terror Doctrine in 3v3 and 4v4 a lot lately. Hitting vehicles is a fast way to vet up the artillery and get faster cooldown and increase the range so you can start punishing infantry later on.

Yeah but they'd have to make it work still. In my experience, it's extremely broken. There's zero feedback on firing, and 90% of the time nothing happens even if the vehicle isn't moving. Did my shell hit the ground? Did it shoot at all? I can't tell, because there's zero feedback, sometimes it'll take my munitions and sometimes it'll do nothing. The only time I see it work is against AI when they park their tank stationary infront of the Pak. I'll go for TWP and about 5 seconds later the Tank suddenly gets stunned.

If they rework it, they could replace it with Spalling Shot, when selected the AT gun goes into a "hold fire" state, you click an area on the ground, and it'll fire accurately (not falling short or crashing into terrain) at that spot. If it hits a tank, it'll stun it. Could be a neat way to make a bug into a feature.

You nailed it. There is no way of knowing if they ability even activated due to lack of feedback. With the amount of bugged nade/faust/ability cooldowns in the game it makes it even tougher.

Can anyone confirm or deny if the command Panther shares stats with the standard OKW Panther and if it benefits from the same bulletins?
