Since the december changes we simply can't win. While we can establish early game dominance in most of the matches, as soon as they start to unlock new tools to fight (mostly grenades and light vehicles) the enemy is able to deal enourmous amount of damage to my penal builds. T70 being our lord and savior that allows you to trim infantry blobs always feels far away when you need it. Its a great asset in the late game if it manages to survive, as vet3 turns it into a serious danger for enemy infantry. Sooner or later you are forced to go for a quad to deal with overwatch sector assault as it can easily force you inside your base for a minute straight if planes are not dealt with. This also has the side effect of building a unit deprived of combat value just as a reaccionary tool to overwatch. I haven't been able to hold my ground with Su76 as of late, I'm starting to see panzer tactician more frecuently, which basicly counters my in depth defence against vehicles as it cancels guards button end enables really agressive dives with mediums. Su85 turns into the only way to deal with armor. Great stats but ends up falling to the same divey tactics. It gets worse as games evolve into the late game, as T34s simply can't deal with infantry fast enough as they rely on sustained fire from its machineguns rather than its gun. Can't deal with okw armor either, even in numbers. Katy is a joke that can't decrew clumped crews with a direct hit, has no vet1 bonuses and has abysmal rate of fire. I much prefer ML20s, Repair taxing is abysmal. In the lategame my engies are forced into a non stop repair schedule. It gets worse when using heavies, as they end up relaying more on hitpoints than armor for survability. I'd like to know what can I do to improve my build and deal more efficiently with blobs supported by JLI In this game my ISU 152 reaches up to 70 infantry kills, but didn't seem to do much in terms of delivering key blows to my enemy. The OP brings a new twist to the discussion about conscripts being a subpar mainline. Conscript utility depends on sidetechs that delay the T70 (and I also make the case for the M5 and the quad upgrade having almost no stoping power as a supression plataform). And thus, penal builds not only are more efficient in manpower but also on fuel. I also agree with DarkArmadillo in that OKW needs to be looked at before anything else. Cons matchup against grens works fine for the most part (because we have to take into account maxims being subpar as a supression unit and inefficient for the amount of fuel, time and manpower its spent on them). Some freebies for cons wouldn't hurt. But I think it would be better to give them more bang for their buck on sidetech. On the topic about giving them a non doc weapon upgrade I think a pair of SVTs in the mid to late game will be enought, as it wouldn't overlap with guards, and the unit will remain a mobile/flexible unit, but i fear they may become fearsome in conjuction with ppsh. Overwatch planes still loiter for like half minute after the ability circle has disappeared. This is currently my biggest issue with the ability right now. It keeps going on and on and on and thats time you are locked inside your base while they are caping the map, which in turn will become flares for free. JLI still far too good for their cost and this doctrine its still being played in every match. I've never seen such a terrible state of balance in my three years of playing. Every match as allies is a stresful 40 minute session against this doctrine. In: Lobby |

Recently my dad came back from his holidays and bought me a new pair of gaming headphones (Sate AE 263). They got an excelent mic (people tell me they can hear me more clearly) but I have notoriously less audio quality than my studio headphones (Maxwell ST 2000). Do gaming headsets sound boxy* or muddy*? No effects or post procesing of any kind is in effect This is REALLY important to me. As I spend a lot of my time listening to music and i'm getting torn apart because its a gift and my studio headset needs a replacement (it works wonders but we had to rig it like 3 times) Boxy: Everything sounds like it has just bounced inside a box before coming out of the speaker Muddy: Audio sounds dirtier |

Found another bug on the map. Pak guns can target the base buildings on the northern bases through the trees Why pak guns? I had a Zis3 next to it, both on attack move, and it had to around the trees to fire. Map's worth a revision. Maybe there is more stuff wrong In: COH2 Bugs |
