Thread: Coh2 Ranking6 Jun 2013, 06:53 AM Sure tournaments are the best measure of skill, but right now we have absolutely no clue who is good at this game because we can't see their names at the top of the ladders. As a fan of streams, I have no idea when a hot match-up is on the card. As a fan of replays, I have no idea which ones to download and watch to learn the best builds/tactics. As a tournament organizer, I have no idea who to invite or who to contact to make sure my tournament has the best established players as well as the best up-and-comers. Stathackers, maphackers, and drophackers pretty much ruined the COH1 ladders for many people. If Relic can manage to control these aspects, I very much look forward to future ladders. They will help immensely with the competitive spirit of the game. Seeing someone's "progression level" means absolutely nothing to me. In: COH2 Gameplay

Great work Rob (UI lead) Thanks for posting here Rob! And #2 is a hot tip, I never noticed that arrow. Being able to close and open aspects of the UI is very cool! Can we have one of those little arrows for the new replay control box in the bottom right too? It really gets in the way during a broadcast or livestream. Are there plans to make an obs mode for the UI? What blizzard has done with the HoTS replay and obs mode view for streamers is fantastic: It has all the information that fans want to see (resources of both players at once is particularly important), with much more main window viewing area than the standard UI view. After that provisional period is over, you should settle down and the matchmaking system will pair you with closer skilled opponents. We believe COH2 has an elo based system with a hidden ranking but I don't think we've been given any details. In: Lobby

Thread: Shock troop spam5 Jun 2013, 21:53 PM I'm seeing alot of shock troop spam. Their nades are filthy and they're great against PzGs. Players like to spam them for map control, keep a few conscripts around for AT nades, then call in some fat non-tier tank like the IS2 or ISU-152 for the complete package. 3 Questions: What do you guys think of this strat (strengths/weaknesses)?
