Thread: USF didn't need a mortar.24 Jun 2016, 19:58 PM I don't believe USF would have needed a mortar if they had access to flamethrowers. Take the flamers out of Rifle Company and maybe replace them with Rifleman Field Defenses since it is called Rifle Company. They could have also reduced the grenade range penalty for smoke grenades to allow squads to counter MG's. The mortar is sort of unnecessary when you buff the Scott and already have the Pak Howitzer. I think USF has way to much stuff locked behind commanders. They could have also buffed the Priest to encourage people to use Infantry Company because right now Tactical Support fills the same role and is better in almost every way. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Stug E vs Puma?16 May 2016, 14:00 PM Stug E's are great for situations in which you don't have the fuel to tech T3 but still want to apply some pressure to your opponent. Once you go Stug E, it is usually most beneficial to go for the Tiger since the teching cost of getting a T3 unit at that point is about the same as saving for the Tiger. The Stug E is worthless against medium armor but can decimate infantry and be used to ward out allied light vehicles that are giving you trouble. Mech Assault is still a top 3 Ostheer doctrine imo. Puma's are great against heavy light vehicle play but don't necessarily provide the pressure you need to push the enemy infantry back. That said, Mobile Defense is fantastic as well. Thread: Not fun getting trolled with 210MP partisans.5 May 2016, 12:56 PM The only thing that really sucks against Partisans is having to be extremely weary of buildings since you don't have to necessarily overextend to caught by Tank Hunters with the AT nade. Although sometimes the squad might clump up at the door when they spawn and take massive damage from something like a P2. Otherwise, the rest of he commander is fine. Standard Partisans are only good in the early game and Mark Vehicle is the only thing that keeps Soviets relevant in the late game with T4 with no IS-2 or 85's. In: COH2 Gameplay
