Thread: Relic should rely less on community balance advices17 Jul 2015, 01:30 AM MG42 is a area lock feature now. ON urban maps flanking it is total BS. You cant fight it until T4 now. Before hmg buff you could counter it with T0 conscripts being in green cover. HMG in a building outranges sniper now. In urban maps if you do T2 Mg+mortar build they just get a sniper and its gg cuz you have access to your sniper quite latter a for more money plus mg42>>maxim. I think top 100 1v1 are the only worth listening In: Lobby

No one consider that game to be worth any competitive events. On youtube best recent games geting 100-500 views after months. So ROmeo is not doing any casts anymore. In: COH2 Gameplay

They are supposed to be semi automatic units that are effective against infantry, even have satchell charges. They are nowhere near as effective as Riflemen or Grenadiers with g43s. The Penals use the svt 40 Tokorov, the weapon that the Germans used to design the G43. It makes no sense why the Penals suck. To my believe Relic put them in purely to fill up the army and bash on Soviet Penal betallions as being squads full of scum, giving their game an extra layer of Identity. Make the Penals usefull, make them acutally as viable as Riflemen, give them some veterancy love and give them some at possibilities. I keep saying this, make the Penals the core infantry unit when it comes to balance and scaling. Penals are a waste of spot in T1. Cons and penals are overlap. Fak this game. It was OK (with stupid T1-T2 but at least playable on decent level) in april but know its trash. Exactly that. In: COH2 Gameplay

No I always get 6+ guards and i rarely bleed, they trade extremely effectively, especially in green cover. (5 rifles bleed more, fun fact) Penals are the ones that need a buff, Imo they should be a threat to vetted grens at vet 3. Also, ppsh needs a buff 6 guards for 330MP. And how many cons in that mix? Finaly, I would want some AI buff for volks too, (don't know if you noted HOW WEAK are volks in startgame compared to cons, they simply cannot resist against them), but I don't know if this will be such a good idea. volks dont face mass LMG grens every game, they have normal grenades and rpgs. So its OK for 235MP. Sturmpios are total garbage for their cost esp in late-mid. But OKW has slight advantage cuz their teching is less expensive. And Schwer HQ is fighting unit itself. Non doctrinal Cons PTRS upgrade would be totaly OK, it would be fair micro/macro battle vs lmg grens. In: COH2 Gameplay

It is making long range capabilities even worse. What is needed is long range weapon upgrade. Right now it is silly how 240MP LMG grens becoming terminators. While expensive panzgrens and esp. sturmpios are pretty much trash in mid-late game. In: COH2 Gameplay
