Thread: Super Shrek Blobs!28 Jun 2015, 20:59 PM So apparently it is an OKW strat to go double Walking Stuka into 6-7 Volks w/Shreks with Ost CAS ally also with 3-4 Double Shrek Panzergrenadiers and shoving the entire Luftwaffe down the enemies' throats. My poor MC Shermans didn't stand a chance . This is a good example of switching tactics mid-game, once I saw the wave of Shrekers approaching me I abandoned my tanks for arty and MGs (damn Stuka made that a miserable experience). End-game I switched strats again for a few tanks due to the Shrek blobs being smashed by the Soviet Hammer and clawed by the US Eagle. In: Replays
Thread: new patch impression28 Jun 2015, 18:09 PM I have been enjoying Lend Lease as a good alt to Guard Motor in 2v2. The DHSK got suppression and Pen.(I think) buffed in the patch, the M5 is a good reinforce point,the Guards from it got slight ninja-buffed PPSH, the air drop of fuel has worked on every map I have played except Ettelbruck where 2/3 got shot down, and the MC Sherman has stats close to a T34/85(about same AT and better AI with 50cal on top), just less HP(dies in 3-4 hits rather than 4-5). Usually build 3 cons and a 2nd Engie, build T2 get mortar and 2 DHSKs once it unlocks, a Zis to hold off early armor and for barrages, build T4 get SU-76 and M5 call-in(pull Guards out and buy AA upgrade), then hold out for MC Sherman spam. I split fuel drops between myself and my ally(really helpful to USF ally who can only build medium tanks and needs a lot of them). In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: new 'in-game store' is EVIL28 Jun 2015, 14:22 PM Jump back to quoted post28 Jun 2015, 12:51 PMATCF well it used to be a "THE" META doctrine with everybody calling it OP since the spy ability used to tell the locations of enemy mines,but i dont think anyone likes ppsh cons, and probably the strongest ability of that doctrine is the single T-34/85 call in, but people dont seem to use it anymore It is still an OK doctrine, not as strong as Guard Motor or Shock Motor, but definitely not bottom tier and the radio thing can be good to tell if the Axis are stocking up on AT. If you hear Panther, Panther, Panther, then it is probably a good idea to not call in too many T35-85s and focus on AT guns. Also it keeps you from being surprised by sudden KT. I sometimes use the doc for fun, since you can still win games with it, without being a micro god, but if you really want to focus on winning then go with meta docs. In: Lobby

The maxim cone is already thin, if you have multiple squads in that cone, you are blobbing and you should have your blob suppressed. If there was AoE suppression for the maxim, it would do nothing against players that do not blob, they would act the same way as other HMGs now. Why is it that I need to smoke/flank/snipe any other HMG in the game, but I can simply blob right up to maxims and only have 1 squad suppressed? The Maxim spam wasn't a problem for Ost, it was a problem for OKW who don't have early game counters to Maxim spam and getting a Stuka, significantly delays teching, allowing Soviet call-ins to run rampant. USF at least has smoke, OKW don't got squat. In: COH2 Gameplay
