not really. in both games whoever deals more economical damage to their opponent wins. in coh2 its whoever can bleed the enemy, and cutoff resources to gain an advantage. its sc2 is mineral line harassing and making sure the enemy cant expand. on the outside coh2 is more tactical, but if you really look at it your economy determines how you play in both sc2 and coh2. how can the enemy blob focus you down when you have the BEST long range infantry? you ALWAYS engage at max range with obers since the enemy is weakest at max range and the lmg34 is strongest there. if they try to close the distance just back off with ur obers and let your volks get free shots in. because of this reason its pretty difficult to bleed obers with rifle fire since not only do they have good defensive modifiers but they also should always be at the max range of the enemy. falls on the otherhand have to get significantly closer to engage, and on top of that dont have the defensive modifers obers have meaning they are way more likely to get focused down. sure they have good DPS at all ranges, but the fact that its split into 4 men is a really bad thing. they cant laser down models, and often times each fall will target a different model, meaning that the enemy squads hp will drop, but models wont die as fast as if all the falls were targetting one model. obers avoid this problem because the lmg is the main source of damage output. you can play however you want, i dont really care. but dont say that obers are not cost effective when they inflict a lot of manpower bleed in exchange for taking only a little damage. also for the people saying to stop justifying ober performance around vet 4 and vet 5, im not. obers get a massive power spike at vet 2 with a whopping +40% accuracy, thats when they become a lot like the old killers they were. how can u say rely on falls or jaegers when niether of those squads are nearly as good as upgraded obers? jaegers dont have the ability to laser down full health models, they have to rely on whittling down hp and then hoping the scoped g43 targets the low hp model. falls have more firepower but they suffer HEAVILY from being a 4 man squad with weak defensive modifiers at vet 0 making them very susceptible to bleed. obers on the other hand have godlike recieved accuracy, can always engage at max range, the majority of the firepower is packed into one platform (lmg) so they laser down models quickly, have the best infantry vet in the game, and are also nondoctrinal. just because they arent the terminators they were before doesnt mean they are underpowered now. you should still easily be getting quite a few kills with these guys thanks to the fact theyre THE BEST long range infantry in the game. my current 2v2 loadout: storm - for both lefh and stuka dive bomb fortified armor - command tank and elephant lightning war - tiger and CAS some honorable mentions for specific strategies: CAS luftwaffe supply spearhead - best doctrine for fighting forward HQ blitzkrieg - all of the abilities in this tree are really good jaeger armor - counters isu and artillery + has spotting scopes In: COH2 Gameplay |

you have to play smarter. stick to green covers and houses more, make sure ur units are in proximity so they can flank and support each other. cons are still really good early game units and you shouldnt underestimate their mid range firepower. the most important thing is to not get caught in a bad spot by an MG42 In: COH2 Gameplay |
