All they need is some game logic to reduce the range of nades when suppressed. Both the herpderpMollie toss and the rifle nade problem solved.
That's fair because you may manage to get a flank on a Maxim/MG, but it still turns in time, you are still rewarded for the flank by being able to get a rifle nade/Mollie off.
Simple solution to a simple problem, but I doubt Relic can manage even this.

Great work. That initial mine that took out scout car was key.

Yeah, there were no changes to it in DPS. But there seem to be hidden vet changes, I have pulled it out once or twice in team games and it is definitely vetting faster. At Vet 2 it becomes quite scary.

I've watched a little of your streams DanielD, with Twister, and yes, it is possible to win with vastly superior Soviet micro. But it's simply not fair for one faction to be much easier to control than the other. If they want to make Ostheer micro as difficult, I am all in favor of that, I said as much in one of my other posts and that's my favored solution. But it's very unfair and mean-spirited of you to berate the vast majority of players for what is currently a clearly imbalanced game.
It would be great if you'd consider contributing positively, say by writing some tutorials or doing some video examples of proper Soviet micro this patch. I for one am as flummoxed as most people, as most opponents my skill level have equally good micro, know what smoke means, can smell a flank, etc. With that all equal, it's back to the question of "how do you close the range on units with vastly superior long-range firepower," and I have to fall back on support weapons, which is fine, but it means less map control, less capping, and less chance of staving off armor.
Thankfully they will be adjusting things soon it seems.

Teller on road into your base. Problem solved. If you see shocks pick Tiger doctrine, don't go T3, problem also solved.
If he went PPSH shocks, just beat them with pgrens. If he went ISU, laugh and make panthers.

KV8 is one of the only ways Soviets can win games as you have no other way of doing much MP damage and will take plenty. Tiger arrives just after, and you can always just hide your infantry.
It's OP if there is another patch. It was OP last patch but no one cared because T34/85s were the strat du jour.

Currently, knowledge of unit abilities when playing Ostheer is optional .

Assgrens. Assgrens are fun. I enjoy playing against assgrens. They have obvious and fun counters.
Now, G43 and LMG spam I'm just about to rage uninstall over. You can't raise the munitions cost high enough, imho.
The really hilarious thing is that whatever you do as Soviets - T1 or T2 - can be countered at 3 CPs by a) having a mortar halftrack doctrine or b) having a G43 doctrine, or just spamming LMGs. LMG spam is much preferable as they have to stop to fire and thus Soviet micro is worth a half-penny.

The difference being of course, than Allies in vCOH had a phenomenal early game presence, making it a race against the clock and the riflemen to vet up or tech up enough to win the game.
Dunno, now I'm sorta back to just raging. I got beat by a G43 spam again, and then turned around and did the same thing as Ostheer, half-microing my units around the map with glee and abandon. Oh a Maxim, ahaha, bro I have a mortar from T1, and I can you know, right click a move order with my other 4 grens.
To quote the song from which I take my in game name, "in another world, it'd be funny."
