If you are using cover and retreating units in time, you should be able to last 20-30 minutes vs even top players. The game is not that deep. Eventually you'll lose because they are quicker at multitasking and have a better knowledge of tank and at ranges, and can can exercise better judgement about diving units (dem Centaur rushes only happen because they're correctly betting that at your sklll level you have no mines and your AT is too far forward and not supported.) Thread: What micro in first 5 mins?13 Jul 2019, 15:41 PM I managed to get the house on the side but then I guess I got outmicroed. Can anyone give me very specific instructions on how I could have won this engagement? Should I just have retreated everything? Based on what data would you do retreat? Just has a 2v2 game, 2 Zis, 2 SU 85's didnt Penertate enough to scare a King Tiger away and rolf stomped the whole line because of it. Its so retartded just because a tank is x ammount of fuel it means its not allowed to be countered...Axis i mean more obviously! Guess what happened in the other lane... ANOTHER tiger pushing through like a summers day breeze. That's just RNG. KT is usually the worst thing you can bring on the field, it has very limited late game uses. Usually you see KTs getting wrecked and pulling back and being useless for another 5 minutes, if they survive. The game's RNG is such that it only rewards super cautious play, this can make for both very interesting competitive 1v1s when people are jinking so hard to avoid bad engagements, and also very dull games, as good players aren't just playing each other, they're also playing against the RNG and the chance of losing a unit. Try to change the way you play the game, get in a mindset of understanding you will win if you don't lose engagements and don't lose units. You don't need to be better than the other guy, you just have to be more cautious. Don't ever use a KT out front unless it's positively going to do more damage than it takes, etc. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Wishlist for 201928 Jun 2019, 13:09 PM Better retreat bonuses, basically back to the way the game was 3 years ago. So sick of OKW being able to insta-win any first engagement if they chase the capping unit and get the early wipe. Generally also sick of not being able to flank or harass because the risk is too high of a wipe. In general for damage to be less bursty. It is very hard to figure out when to retreat now, suddenly stuff just goes poof because damage is so bursty and random. Would really like to see more intuitive, better paced damage generally. Thread: Sherman 76 is lackluster14 Apr 2019, 19:25 PM Been trying these out more... I don't get why you'd give a fast tank such low accuracy on the move. I'd rather it hit once in a while on the move, even if they have to lower the damage for balance than to have this fast, fun to play with tank, that can't hit shit on the move. What is this unit's role supposed to be currently? If I'm using it wrong, I'd like to know. I don't see any benefit over a normal Sherman if you want to press the advantage and kill some inf whilst not being totally useless vs a PzIV, and compared to a late game Jackson/Scott lolacoaster of a build, it's total crap. Thread: Ambulance QoL Change26 Mar 2019, 13:05 PM I feel that the higher CPM required to play US successfully (with so many different types of squads and abilities that need to be used to win) is what balances out the strength of their infantry and abilities, so I voted no. This mobile healing/reinforce mechanic, free of cost other than the ambo purchase, is something no other faction has, and many top players are able to move their entire army, activate the ambo, and micro their blob just fine currently. Such a change would make that fast ambo/blob playstyle even more powerful than it already is and lower the skill/CPM requirement for using it. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Thoughts on Panzergrenadiers19 Mar 2019, 00:22 AM What about just a received accuracy buff? They were too powerful very early in the game's life, but they just got nerfed into oblivion. They're just too squishy to deal with vetted allied infantry, which is what they're facing when they hit the field and they definitely lose too much DPS from losing a squad member in comparison to grens with LMGs or rifles with bars. Unless they're in green cover, they seem to lose to everything except maybe a vanilla conscript. If need be nerf the veterancy bonuses then. In: COH2 Balance
