We wanted to give OKW a soft building counter options. This should help OKW deal against garrisoned enemies. (Need an icon)
Grenade replaced with incendiary grenade
This might have the single biggest effect on reducing volk blobs. As someone pointed out, grenades were a huge part of their offensive ability. We can probably expect to see a lot more alternative OKW infantry on the field now, especially with their reduced reinforcement costs.

Squad Formations All infantry squads has had their squad formation updated to better spread out the units in open, and negative cover. Their formation in light or heavy cover remains the same. New Squad Formation added to existing infantry to make them spread out more Howitzers can no longer be built in Command H.Q Territory I feel like someone at Relic has been reading my posts! If not, it's still nice to know we think alike.Still desperately waiting for a reduction in the snap distance to cover though. It really is a huge impediment to gameplay, especially considering cover tends to be *outside* the capture radius of most VPs and supply points. Removed Sittard Summer from the Automatch map list I played one game on that map. Never again. It's a well made map for what it is (I played a lot of Lyon with my brothers back in the day), and I'm not saying bridge maps don't have appeal to casual players, but automatch really isn't about casual. As a side note, I would like to see the M5 half-track's damage nerfed by about half. Its role should be a support vehicle in reinforcing, suppressing, and shooting down aircraft. It does all of these well. If you want offensive power and damage, you should be building the T-70 instead. As it is, the M5 destroys Axis light vehicles in <1 second, which is a bit crazy considering how well it also counters infantry. In: COH2 Gameplay |

Requiring line of sight would probably be a good move. Another thought I recently had was making it so that howitzers can't be built inside your base territory. It would bring them closer to the active battlefield and force a player to dedicate resources to protecting it. However, that would be hard to apply to mobile artillery. In: COH2 Balance |

No, it's not in your usual games folder. It's in "Documents". Most games create a separate folder in Documents when you run them for the first time. It's where they store settings, save games, and replays. This is so that every person with an account on the computer can have separate settings. |

As a starting point, try MG, Gren, Gren, Gren, MG and attempt to drain them of manpower and buy yourself some time against a light armour rush. Get T2 as soon as you can, and depending on how well you're doing go for AT gun, or maybe Panzergrens to help with anti-infantry and upgrade to schreks as required. A good teller mine on a crossroad/choke point will also buy some peace of mind. You may also find that replacing an MG with a mortar will help on games with blobs or strong defenses. With T3 all the units have pretty clear roles. Stug for open area antitank, panzer 4 for anti-tank/anti-infantry in close quarters. Ostwind if you want to balance your stugs. |

Ah, that's a good thought. Although the wall would still be potentially blocking your shots as you approach, so at best it simply levels the playing field. So is the shot-blocking effect of cover calculated at a flat rate, and by getting within that range of 10 units it then stops having a negative effect on your shots? Just another thought on the "cover less than 10 units away doesn't count": Does that mean that wiring off cover is pointless, or is that enough distance to give the defenders the benefit of cover while denying it to the attackers? In: COH2 Gameplay |

Ooh, I can resize the Start Menu? That's a nice touch! However, every guide I google on customising the Start menu says to right-click on the taskbar, select Properties, and click on the Start Menu tab. Guess what doesn't exist in my version? Edit: Never mind. Found it all under the new Settings thingo. Also, I've since realised that they refer to all programs as apps now. They've just bundled everything together. That's fairly reasonable, although I could do without the clutter of the apps that come bundled with Windows. Still, the search option bypasses most of that, and I like the way it finds stuff in the Settings panel. |
