Bray, you are a disgrace for the Soviet Union. How could you failed shtrafniki spelling so hard?
On topic: most rough and tough game for us in past 6 months or so. I literally have no idea how we won it. Replay featuring: miserable fails in early game, insane blobs of p4's, bombing and arty wars later, epic Elefant and Tigers slaughter to the bloody end; all those things we love 4v4 for.

Thread: Soviet Forward HQ is completely broken. 20 May 2014, 01:55 AM
Always funny when people see something for first time, fail to adapt and start blaming thing they saw instead themselves. Yes, forward hq is very powerful ability, BUT: 1)It comes in one doctrine, with 2 totally useless abilities (armor detection/crappy at gun) and no late game potential. 2)It costs 60 damn fuel, which not only punishes teching very hard, but also denies at nades/mollys to cons. 3)Atop of huge fuel cost it also costs 300mp, meaning impossibility to have at gun in time, thus making forward hq incredibly vulnerable to rushed armored cars. And of course, there is plenty of counters. You can just ignore forward HQ zone, cap map around and destroy it with tanks later. Build mortar, place it behind hedge in order to protect from sov mortar, cover with something and enjoy free vet, hq building also often collapse after 3-4 barrages. You may, as mentioned before, just rush t2 and beat crap out of everything around forward hq. And, above all, you can burn it to the ground with any form of fire damage. In: COH2 Balance |

Yeah, sure, in real game it is only possible to predict enemy positions while in replay all outcomes is pretty clear. Yet its always worth if not risk t34 to deal some damage and force opponent to react (of course supported by sweeper engies in case of mines and for repairs, lone pack is easy prey even in blizzard, grens squad supported by something is less so) then just to scout. Anyway its just my 50 cents because i always try to achieve something with fast t3 as Soviets and generally prefer aggressive (sometimes even over-aggressive, lol) play. In: Replays |

Overly passive and static game. Everybody just digging and waiting for their super-isus and elefants to won game for them floating 1k+ mp and 400+ fuel. Push? Nah, savor coffee in comfy trenches way better than attacking in blizzard. All Quiet on the Western Front... Speaking of which, left corner fuel were unprotected whole game, yet Germans was so afraid of lone maxim stalking there so they decided mine top approach and put bunker on top of it only to protect their flank from this beast HMG. But Soviets not better: when they got their t3 and all trench-war on bottom started, they never tried to push past those unprotected mines and bunker on top (not to mention one scary Opel behind them) in aim to force Germans move from bottom to defend their base. btw, AFAIR tiger player got 8k damage against 14k and 23k of his teammates. Thread: cohbros/ ISU IS BASED GOD10 May 2014, 07:34 AM
It is more matter of worthless tigers (which done something only because Soviets were too lazy to protect flank with mines) and strange decision to make panthers instead of elefants by elefant player. Pak's 43 cant kill even single correctly played ISU on it own, but a pair of vetted elefants supported by them could make wonders. I am not saying ISU's shouldn't be nerfed back in terms of At/and or survivability, but you guys could won this game. In: Replays |

Always nice to see such aggressive infantry-based play from Germany at the beginning. Late game thou, duh. Brand new panther lost to double su85 without single shot fired from panther, then command p4 lost to single su85, and almost triple vet elefant doing nothing on bottom when double ISU 152 wrecking middle at the end. Pak 43 were too late too. On the other hand, soviets done plenty of mistakes too, but Dirk won game for them with excellent micro on those ISU's (not on first one, thou ). In: Replays |

Game of skillplanes. Watch as they pass one after other after other in replay was hilarious. Who needs tanks when you have planes? This map, however, strongly favorite Germans. I bet our side would have more problems (and, which more important, way more exciting game) on the Steppes. The man can dream... GG! In: Replays |
