Selecting Splines

I was wondering if someone can help me...
When editing a map in WB and I select the spline tool and hover splines I see multiple splines.
For some reason I can't select a particular spline without moving the other splines. I know that I can keep clicking till on of the splines of the selection is active. But there must be a easier way? Isn't there?
