Why did we nerf the pack howitzer and lefth auto barrage, yet motar pit still exists as it is in the game.

Because relic over nerfed them when they removed its suppression.

Motar Pits, a noob best friend, OP as hell on some maps. And of course requires full attention, strat adjustment from the axis. Maps like crossing in the woods and road to katitof (see what I did there) it's just broken.
Last night I had double Brit on crossing and they built 3 of them on the right side (2/1) yeaaaaa needless to say, with alien technology brace and advance emplacement it's simply "not fun"

I think it's just a Scope issue. Once the Brits are in scope, the balance team will do something with the pit.
Unfortunately since Brits weren't in scope but soviets and USF generally were, I'm guessing the next 6 months will be the Age of Brits.
Relic is having them fix stuff one thing at are time so that's just how it goes.

Make the mortar pit into a garrisonable emplacement.

The Age of Brits will be all related to the people that nerfed US and Reds hard, now they will face Brits every game in higher ranks because people just playing what is stronger, "you reap what you sow" so to speak
