If I ruled the world I would:

-Extend the maxim setup/pack time. I find that even if I pull off the perfect flank, a maxim can re-position and suppress the flanking unit before it can do any/much damage. The vet 1 "sprint" ability could still allow for a faster pack/unpack time.
-Reduce its ability to suppress vs units in heavy cover.
-Give sturmpio's a smoke grenade
