7 seconds of firing from both squads followed by 2 molis and an additional 7 seconds of firing from the second squad with complete tactical positioning should warrant a death. If it was 2 rifle grenades and grens my mg wouldn't have even had the chance to pack up. It just seems to me that 14 seconds of fire from a flank and 30 munitions spent with two direct hits (despite retreat) should kill an mg that continually plagued me in the north.

WTF are you talking about? You flanked the MG and achieved your goal - to move him off his position. He retreated almost immediately and was still a scrotum hair away from death. I don't see anything wrong here.

I think this particular situation the MG should be toast yeah. It's alone and being attacked pretty much optimally.
But then again it IS toast and only escapes via pure luck so the example is perhaps not the best.

It SHOULD BE, and it WAS
That's the reward of flanking. Wehr need to place their wire, mines, MG placement good enough to counter flanking or risk giving the MG42 to the US. Just one flamer / one nade / one BAR squad at the MG42 face, then it is toasted for sure
Mortar can force move a MG with one click, Sniper can force move a MG with one click
Flanking takes skill and only force move a MG? DAFUG?
