If they both upgraded, Grenadiers with LMG's and Cons with PPSH, who wins on average? It's annoying me I don't know as it makes me cautious and clueless if I should fight or not. Grenadiers won last time I fought them with both of us upgraded but the Grenadiers did have veterancy, so still stuck...
And I don't mean including adding molotovs and rifle grenade into the question.

the distance between the grans and the conscripts is important
small distance = conscrips win
huge distance =grens win
with hit the dirt i am not sure

grens with lmg does alot of damage. I wouldn't engage it without superior numbers unless I got better cover.
It might also depend on bulletins as well.

If they use Hit The Dirt, conscripts.
If they are close range, conscripts.
If both are moving, conscripts.
Everything else it's Grenadiers. Hit The Dirt has an exception if the Grens are highly vetted compared to Conscripts(Like vet 3 vs. vet 1), or the Grens use Rifle Grenades which may or may not work.
Similarly, if Conscripts out vet Grens, they'll win, and if they Oorah and get a Molotov off, they'll win.
If they are close range, conscripts.
If both are moving, conscripts.

OK, thanks for the replies people. I'm kind of getting a better understanding now when both units face off. Was the one thing I could never work out properly.

I dont know if this counts but conscripts can very quickly put up sandbags so if you and stall for enough time to get sandbags up you should be good to go vs most german infantry but not many russian players use sandbags it's a shame.

I treat the Grens with LMG like G43's, except you have to 'shoot, stop,shoot, stop'. They are better at range. I use the rifle grenade a lot.
Conscripts w/PPSH...I treat them like shock troops. I rush them in and throw molotov.
