Hy so the Valentine Vet1 ability, is it got any + effect other than the bonus range?

I checked on my units(obv they took less dmg) but same (lel) dmg and graphic of explsions.

Are there any advantages to it? I at lest tought that this will make the arty vialable dmg wise.
