So the only real difference is you can salvage duplicates for points towards other stuff? Seems a bit underwhelming...

I heard about war spoils changes in December (Kyle said while he was streaming that war spoils will be changed soon) so indeed - it is 'a bit' underwhelming that lelic needed almost 5 months for these minor changes and now beta will be going.
