Performance Drop After Hotfix

Anyone notice a huge performance drop after the hotfix? I just bought a new 980ti and happened to be doing performance testing before and after the hotfix. Before the hotfix, in the performance test i had an average of 58fps, now I’m getting 43fps!

Details:

All settings on max
VSync Off (GSync On)
2560x1440

Win 10 64 bit
980 ti
2500k @ 4.4ghz
8 Gb RAM
i think COH2 is sitting in a Vertex3 SSD

Anyone else seeing this? is it just my hardware failing?

Did you fiddle around the setting files pre patch? Often when coh2 patch comes it resets some settings.

Check your RAM usage during the game. With such a big resolution and maximal graphical settings 8gb are most probably not enough. Before the patch game often worked just on the edge of 8gb, now it may take 100mb more and your systam started to page. I mean this is all asumption but it is worth checking.

I've noticed the same issues you are listing here Seismic, literally after the hotfix while playing I noticed when trying to move around the screen during a game the drop in framerate, while "playable" it is atrocious to deal with. Before I was able to smoothly navigate the map and now it sorta feels like I'm carrying a brick around when doing so, unless I use the arrow keys on my keyboard. I use a GTX 970 btw. I heard they may have attempted to "update" the engine in the game with this hotfix as well, but instead of improving it they've caused more issues for players trying to run it. And I know for a fact it isn't my RAM or CPU considering it was at the same level as before when playing.

This hotfix is causes more issues than resolutions.
It's driving me to insanity.

I use a 660GTX. no problems. Stable 40-50 fps. Low settings + sweet FX mod (SO IT LOOKS LIKE ULTRA SETTINGS, no joke btw.)

I have same problem particularly on the hamlet map with the trees waving in the breeze. Slows right down now to a crawl.

You're right. Let's buy expensive hardware so we can run CoH2 at lowest because of shit optimization :luvDerp:

Definitely lower fps than before, especially when more than 1 KV-8 roasting the enemy.

I run 970 gtx with 100 mps connection. The hotfix def. broke something, the performance went to crap. Game has loaded just stayed on black screen, units not responding to commands etc

unplayable at the moment - very frustrating that RELIC doesn't even acknowledge the mistakes and indicates they are working on it.

its just ironic they finally get e-sports after 2 years then they go a break everything and I don't mean balance. Game mechanics should not be breaking like this after this long. I wonder if anyone will pull out of the monthly

Wow, just wow. What an solution you got here.
You are saying that if i bought a car with highest speed 200 km/h and after a service at the workshop it only goes to 180 km/h that is ok? And i should not put my feet on the throttle so much?

Again WOW!
