War spoils

I need somebody that understands this system to explain it to me as far as how often you get drops and if there is a faster way of getting them. Yes I know there are topics explaining it but a lot of them start out when the system was first introduced, information gets buried under a dozen pages, then from what I gather the system changed and more dozens of pages get added on. Also saw there was a war spoils farming script, does that still work?

War spoils has not been changed.. Yes the script still works.
