Permanently BannedGrens get stomped by rifles and sections. Thats why ostruppen is always better, they hold ground better, and trade more efficiently.

grens are fine, and very cost efficient with the LMG upgrade, but they get rolled by riflemen and IS at equal vet levels and they don't cost enough less to really out blob them. this makes them cost inefficient against IS blobs and riflemen blobs (lol, with only one starting unit what else will you see?) and HMGs, which counter blobs, the go to meta. against cons grenadiers are absolutely fine and with vet and LMGs they're a solid late game option, it's just difficult to get there against IS or riflemen blobs.
