Modify squad spacing when selecting multiple squads?

Title. Like, when a player selects multiple squads, and moves them around, they automatically space themselves. Is there a way to modify this?

What drives me crazy is when I select multiple squads (usually two) next to each other, tell them to go to the same location, and they each take entirely different routes - potentially resulting in one getting there before the other and engaging the enemy alone. I wonder if this might be related...
