Wehrmacht a defensive faction?!?!

The Wehrmacht was one of the most offensive factions in WW2 with the invasion of Europe countries and Russia. They coined the term "Blitzkrieg". So, why did Relic decide the early game to be not so good compared to other factions in the game?

For reasons probably related to why the Soviets' base units are from the earlier parts of the war while the Axis have plenty from the late stages of the war.

The multiplayer game was based on 1944 where axis was by and large defending.
That didnt mean they didn't counter attack with tanks, as they can in this game.

Offensive until 1943. This is 1944/45. Hence the IS-2s, T34/85s, late model tigers and panthers, Tiger IIs...etc etc etc
