Delete 'Block'

Hey,

I'm fairly new to worldbuiling so forgive my question.
I can't seem to delete certain BLOCK-ers. Some I can, some I can't.
Take for example the map 'Crossing in the Woods'. I can't delete the BLOCKBLOCKBLOCK-ers in the forest, but I can delete the little Blocks.

Strange, but what do I do wrong?

some are objects and some are object-splines use the spline tool.
